Dispatch from Crown Mines
All orders leave from our Crown Mines base in Johannesburg after stock has been checked and packed for courier. If your items are on hand and your order is placed early enough for same-day processing, dispatch can usually be arranged the same working day. Orders placed later in the day, or during busy trade periods, are normally sent out the next working day.
Our team checks each platen, hoop and pretreatment kit before release so the right size and setup is packed for your machine. This matters when you are matching platens to shirt sizes, bag panels or left chest work, because the wrong fit can slow down the whole production line.
Courier timelines by area
Most print shops in Johannesburg, Pretoria, Midrand, Centurion, Randburg, Sandton and the East Rand can expect next-day courier delivery once the parcel has left Crown Mines. Durban and other major centres are usually quick as well, although the final timing depends on the courier network and the time of collection.
- Major metro areas: next working day in many cases
- Regional towns: usually 2 to 3 working days
- Remote areas: allow extra time for road freight handover and final mile delivery
If your workshop is on a tight production schedule, rather keep a little buffer for month-end, season changes and public holidays. Load-shedding can also affect courier cut-off times in some depots, so early payment and early confirmation helps.
How collection works at our Johannesburg base
Collections can be arranged from our Crown Mines base by prior confirmation through the enquiry form on our contact page. Once your order is ready, we will share the collection details and let you know when it is safe to send a driver or collect in person. Please do not arrive unannounced, because some orders are still being checked or packed for courier when they are due out.
- Bring the order reference or confirmation details
- Make sure the vehicle has enough space for flat packed items
- Send a driver if you cannot collect personally
- Check the items before leaving the premises
If you are based in Crown Mines, Newtown, Selby, Booysens or nearby industrial areas, collection is often the quickest option for urgent production needs.
Packing for platens, hoops and pretreatment kits
Our equipment is packed to protect the working faces, brackets and alignment points that matter most in daily use. Platens are secured so they do not shift in transit, while hoops and pretreatment items are separated to reduce marking or damage. For coastal customers in Durban or humid areas, we also focus on keeping items dry and clean inside the parcel, because moisture in transit can be a problem during summer.
If your shop runs several garment sizes, we recommend checking the box contents against your order as soon as it arrives. That way any missing item, small scratch or fit issue can be flagged while the delivery is still fresh.
What to do when your order arrives
Once the courier delivers, open the parcel and confirm that everything matches your order. Keep the packaging until you have checked the platen mount, hoop sizes and any pretreatment components against your machine and workflow. This is especially useful if you have planned a seasonal reconfiguration or are scaling up for school wear, team wear or promotional runs.
- Inspect the outer packaging for dents or wet marks
- Check the sizes and counts against your invoice
- Test-fit the first item before sending it into full production
- Let us know straight away if anything looks wrong
A quick check can save a full day of stoppages later on. It is a small step, but in a busy print shop small steps matter.
Special delivery notes for busy print shops
If your workshop is in a shared industrial building, mall-based unit or a site with security access rules, please make sure the courier can reach the correct receiving point. Some locations in Pretoria East, Centurion and Sandton need loading bay access or a recipient name at reception. If your site has strict delivery hours, tell us in advance so the parcel can be sent with the best chance of on-time handover.
For larger orders or production planning, we can work with you on timing so your platens, hoops and pretreatment kits arrive before a new job starts. That helps reduce downtime, especially when operators are working around load-shedding, weekend shifts or a month-end rush.
If you need help after delivery, our team can assist with print alignment help, workflow review or remote troubleshooting once the parcel has landed. A proper start saves later rework, and that is worth a lot when jobs are moving fast.
