Work With a Local Print Support Team

DTGrip is based in Crown Mines, Johannesburg and supports print shops across South Africa, from Sandton and Randburg to Midrand, Pretoria East, Centurion, the East Rand and Durban. Our work is hands-on, and often starts with a printer owner who needs better platen setup, cleaner alignment or a smoother pretreat workflow.

We hire people who understand how busy production floors work. That includes the pressure of next-day courier orders, power cuts, tight deadlines and the need to keep garments moving through the shop without waste. If you are calm under pressure and careful with detail, you will fit in well here.

Roles We Commonly Hire For

We do not keep a long, fixed vacancy list on this page. Instead, we build our team around the kind of support our customers need most, and that can change as the business grows.

  • Technical support for platen fitting, hoop setup and print alignment help
  • Workshop and assembly work for printer accessories and setup components
  • Training and customer guidance for operators and new shop staff
  • Sales support for product enquiries, quotations and order follow up
  • Operations support for courier dispatch, stock control and admin

Some roles are office based, others are in the workshop or out at customer sites. We also work with people who can provide remote troubleshooting when a shop needs quick guidance before a run starts.

What We Value In A Candidate

We are looking for people who take pride in practical work and who can speak clearly with customers. A strong candidate is usually organised, willing to learn and able to explain things without confusion.

  • Good communication with printers, production managers and owners
  • Comfort with basic measuring, setup and quality checks
  • Ability to follow a production process from sample testing to final use
  • Respect for deadlines, especially when courier cut off times matter
  • A hands on attitude and a steady approach to problem solving

If you have worked with garment decoration, heat processing, or print production before, that helps. If not, but you have the right work ethic and can pick up systems quickly, we still want to hear from you.

How Our Team Supports Customers

Our team helps businesses with platen installation, seasonal reconfiguration, workflow reviews, sample testing and production scaling. That means the people we hire need to be comfortable working with real shop conditions, including humidity in coastal areas, busy peak season schedules and the occasional load-shedding interruption.

We expect our staff to give practical advice, not theory for the sake of it. A good day at DTGrip often means helping a printer save time, reduce setup errors and get a better result on the next run.

Training, Growth And Day To Day Learning

We believe good people can grow quickly when they are exposed to the right work and given clear guidance. New team members are trained on our products, common customer setups and the way we handle enquiries from different parts of the country.

Depending on the role, you may learn:

  • How to guide a customer through a pretreat workflow
  • How to identify platen or hoop setup issues before they affect print quality
  • How to support onsite visits, remote troubleshooting and follow up work
  • How to manage seasonal changes in production demand

We value people who ask questions, learn fast and take feedback properly. That is how the team gets stronger over time.
